As part of environment sensitization, Yogoda Satsanga Dhyana Kendra — Bhubaneswar, organized a tree-plantation programme on August 17, 2009 at two premier educational institutions in Bhubaneswar: the Utkal University and Government Boys’ High School.

The Vice-Chancellor, Professor B. Rath, Brahmachari Achyutananda, students and staff of the educational institutions, and YSS devotees, helped plant about 200 medicinal trees. These trees will be maintained by our Dhyana Kendra for the next three years. The Kendra is planning to organize similar programmes in other places. Brahmachariji gave a talk to the students of the High S c h o o l on the importance of trees for the welfare and survival of mankind.
