Schedule of Events - 2017

Dear Divine Atman,

NOIDA Ashram is unique in many ways. Sacred soil from Gurudeva’s ashrams from India and abroad was scattered on its grounds by Swami Vishwananda during one of his visits to the site even before the foundation stone was laid. Built specifically to hold spiritual retreats around the year, Noida Ashram located about 4 km from Delhi-UP border, was inaugurated on January 3, 2010. In a short time it has become an important destination for YSS/SRF devotees from all over india and the world. As many as 3,200 devotees stayed in the ashram last year. Five-day Sadhana Sangams are held once or twice a year when about 350 devotees from all over the country are accommodated within the ashram. Hindi is the main language used in most classes and satsangas.

The ashram consists of an administration block (with Meditation Halls, Reception, Books Room, Library, Counseling Rooms, Dining Hall, and Offices), two retreat blocks (separate for ladies and gents), a big pandal for functions, and grounds for exercise. A central garden resplendent with blossoms and shady trees evokes the sacred feeling of an ancient ashram set amidst sylvan surroundings, saturated with the timeless peace of the ages.

CONDUCTED GROUP RETREATS, led by Sannyasis, are held regularly, mostly over weekends. These spiritual retreats consist of 2-3 days of silence, morning and evening Energization Exercises and Group Meditation, review of our divine Guru’s techniques of concentration and meditation, Gurudeva’s teachings and How-to-Live principles.

INDIVIDUAL RETREATS are encouraged. Devotees can stay in the ashram for 3-7 days and utilize this period for remaining in silence, introspection, spiritual reading, and for practising the presence of God.

Those attending individual or conducted retreats are expected to join group meditations at the ashram. They can seek personal counselling from the sannyasis during their stay.

Noida ashram is open to visitors during the daytime, and all are welcome to attend the Sunday Satsanga which consists of a period of brief group meditation followed by a satsanga by one of the sannyasis. Simultaneously, a Children Satsanga is conducted in the Bal Kutir for devotees’ children aged 9 to 14 years.

ACCOMMODATION in a spiritual environment (double-bed rooms with attached bath) is available to devotees visiting or transiting through Delhi or Noida for pilgrimage etc. for up to 3 days.

Any devotee, who wants to attend a conducted Group Retreat should book at least fifteen days ahead of the scheduled programme (refer to the Retreats schedule on Page 5). For transit accommodation, or for individual retreat, devotees should inform Noida Reception by phone or e-mail at least 3 days before the date of arrival. Devotees who arrive without such prior intimation may not be accommodated. This booklet contains schedules for Special Days of Commemoration, Monthly Long Meditation, Sadhana Sangam, and conducted Group Retreats. It also has information about Group Meditation and Book timings in Delhi and Gurgaon Kendras, and Noida Ashram. Centenary celebrations of Foundation of YSS will begin in 2017. Some of the programmes in NCR get a mention in this booklet, while details of any additional events will be intimated to you once they are finalised.

Sangam and retreats offer a chance to let go of the world, dive deep into the inner silence and rejuvenate body, mind, and soul. As Gurudeva says, “Every person needs a retreat, a dynamo of silence where he may go for the exclusive purpose of being recharged by the Infinite.”

In divine friendship,
