Schedule of Events - 2018

Dear Divine Atman,

YOGODA SATSANGA SAKHA ASHRAM, NOIDA, which was inaugurated on January 3, 2010, has now become a well-established place of peace and haven for the devotees and disciples of our beloved Gurudeva Sri Sri Paramahansa Yoganandaji. This oasis of peace and bliss in the National Capital Region, is now frequented not only by Guruji’s devotees in India, but also from all over the world. As you are aware, Swami Vishwananda, on one of his visits to the site, had sprinkled sacred soil from Guruji’s ashrams in India and abroad, on the site of its construction, even before the foundation stone was laid. Located just 4 km from the border of Delhi and Uttar Pradesh, Noida Ashram is well connected to all parts of NCR, and accessible easily for all YSS/SRF devotees from anywhere in the country and abroad. The main purpose of the Ashram being the holding of spiritual retreats throughout the year, every year about 3500 devotees from India and abroad avail of this facility by taking individual or conducted retreats, as well as by attending the 5 day Sadhana Sangams which are held once or twice in a year. Besides, devotees who are in transit through the NCR also break their journey and avail of the facility to stay for a few days.

The layout of the ashram consists of an Administration Block, a Retreat Block for women, a Retreat Block for men, and an auditorium for big functions. One of the most attractive feature of the ashram is the beautiful gardens, in which these buildings are placed. The lush green trees, lawns, shrubs and seasonal and perennial flower beds are more than enough to captivate and enthrall the hearts of any and all devotees and visitors. Set into this picturesque landscape, are the spots for solitary meditation and contemplation on God. The Administration Block has a Reception, Bookshop, Library, Offices, Counselling Rooms, Dining Hall and a Meditation Hall, which is imbued with divine vibrations generated by deep and long group and individual meditations by devotees.

Sannyasis lead the Conducted Group Retreats, which are held frequently and regularly throughout the year. These retreats are held over weekends and participants get opportunity to maintain silence and seclusion for 2-3 days. While they enjoy their freedom from the worldly environment, they also get opportunity to get the techniques of concentration and meditation reviewed. In addition to the morning and evening Energization Exercises and Group Meditation, Guruji’s How-to-Live principles are also discussed and clarified in Monastic Satsangas. Participants also get ample opportunities to speak to monastics and receive their counseling.

Devotees are encouraged to take individual retreats in the ashram whenever possible. They can stay for a period of 3 to 7 days and utilize this time for their spiritual regeneration through deeper and longer meditation, silence and seclusion, introspection, study of the teachings and practicing the presence of God. They can also request for counseling with monastics during this period.

Those attending individual or conducted retreats are expected to join group meditations at the ashram. They can seek personal counseling from the sannyasis during their stay.

Noida ashram is open to visitors during the daytime, and all are welcome to attend the Sunday Satsanga which consists of a period of brief group meditation followed by a satsanga by one of the sannyasis. Simultaneously, a Children Satsanga is conducted in the BalKutir for devotees’ children aged 5 to 12 years.

ACCOMMODATION in a spiritual environment (double-bed rooms with attached bath) is available to devotees visiting or transiting through NCR for pilgrimage etc. for up to 3 days.

Any Any devotee, who wants to attend a conducted Group Retreat should book at least fifteen days ahead of the scheduled programme (refer to the Retreats schedule on Page 5). For transit accommodation, or for individual retreat, devotees should inform Noida Reception by phone or e-mail at least 3 days before the date of arrival. Devotees who arrive without such prior intimation may not be accommodated. This booklet contains schedules for Special Days of Commemoration, Monthly Long Meditation, SadhanaSangam, and conducted Group Retreats. It also has information about Group Meditation and Book Room timings in Delhi and Gurgaon Kendras, and Noida Ashram. Centenary celebrations of founding of YSS will continue till March 2018. Details of any events to be held in connection with this, will be intimated to you, once they are finalized.

The motto during Retreats and Sangams is "let go and let God", and dive deep into one's inner Self, to find the pearls of peace, love and joy of God. Like Guruji said: "He is the wisest who seeks God; he is the most successful who has found God'.
