Paramahansa Yogananda on Experiencing the Unconditional Love of God
God loves you just as much as He loves Jesus and the great saints. He is Unconditional Love, because He Himself is in everything. Wherever He is, there is His love and devotion.
When you love God without reservation, He fills your heart with His unconditional love for all. That love no human tongue can describe.
The love of God, the love of the Spirit, is an all-consuming love. Once you have experienced it, it shall lead you on and on in the eternal realms. That love will never be taken away from your heart. It shall burn there, and in its fire you shall find the great magnetism of Spirit that draws others unto you, and attracts whatsoever you truly need or desire.
Always remember: your Father loves you unconditionally. But because He has given you freedom to go away from Him or to approach Him, He is waiting for you to express your desire for His love before He comes to you.
Once when I was meditating I heard His voice, whispering: “Thou dost say I am away, but thou didst not come in. That is why thou dost say I am away. I am always in. Come in and thou wilt see Me. I am always here, ready to greet thee.”
In this video excerpt, former YSS/SRF Sanghamata and President Sri Daya Mata (1914-2010) speaks from the depths of her own divine communion about experiencing the all-satisfying, unconditional love of God.
