Yogoda Satsanga Sakha Ashram — Noida

Uttar Pradesh

Inaugurated on जनवरी 3, 2010, Yogoda Satsanga Sakha Ashram, Noida, is one of the five YSS ashrams in India, dedicated to carrying on the spiritual and humanitarian work of Sri Sri Paramahansa Yogananda.

Built on a five-acre campus just four kilometres from the Delhi-Uttar Pradesh border, the ashram stands as a spiritual oasis offering seekers in the National Capital Region (NCR) a sacred space for stillness and renewal amidst the bustling pace of modern city life.

We invite you to the blessed environs of our ashram, where you can feel the peaceful vibrations uplifting your mind and spirit. Here you can obtain spiritual counsel and guidance in the study and practice of the YSS teachings from our sannyasis.

Dhyana Mandir

At the heart of the ashram is the Dhyana Mandir, a spacious and serene meditation hall. Designed to support devotional gatherings and foster deep stillness, the hall provides a quiet and blissful environment for daily meditations, group retreats, sangams, and special spiritual programmes. Its calm, contemplative atmosphere invites devotees to turn inward and experience the joy and peace of God-communion.

Ashram Grounds and Facilities

Amid the beautifully landscaped meditation grounds of the ashram stands the Garden Vedi with a portrait of Gurudeva Paramahansa Yogananda, providing visitors a serene setting for meditation, prayer, and quiet contemplation. The ashram premises are resplendent with flowering trees, lush green lawns, and shaded pathways, creating a peaceful atmosphere conducive to spiritual practice.

The administration block serves as the central hub of the ashram and houses the reception area, book room and library, counselling rooms, kitchen and dining facilities, offices, and residential rooms for sannyasis. It also provides limited accommodation for devotees travelling through the NCR for short stays, subject to advance booking.

Special Retreat Opportunities

A distinctive feature of the Noida Ashram is its two retreat blocks built to support spiritual retreats for devotees. With separate facilities for men and women, each block comprises 30 single rooms, offering solitude conducive to spiritual study, meditation, and self-reflection. Devotees are welcome to undertake individual retreats to deepen their sadhana and seek spiritual counsel and guidance from resident monastics.

In addition, the ashram regularly conducts group retreats, mostly over weekends, led by YSS sannyasis. These retreats are structured around specific themes drawn from the teachings of our beloved Gurudeva, his how-to-live principles, and techniques of concentration and meditation.

Children’s Satsanga

YSS Noida Ashram holds Children’s Satsanga every Sunday, offering young minds an inspiring introduction to Paramahansa Yogananda’s How-to-Live principles in a relaxed and engaging environment. Guided by volunteers, children participate in Energization Exercises, brief periods of meditation, chanting, storytelling, and other group activities designed to develop creativity, concentration, character, and a loving personal relationship with God.

Charitable and Humanitarian Work

YSS Noida Ashram also engages in various charitable activities, including relief work, medical care, and educational support initiatives for the needy in and around Noida. The ashram runs a free coaching centre for school students, medical clinic, and dispensary on its premises with qualified and experienced doctors and teachers — most of them YSS devotees serving as volunteers.

The ashram also provides aid to select schools catering to less fortunate sections of the society, such as the Paramahansa Yogananda Swarn Bal Vatika, an informal coaching centre for underprivileged children, run by a devotee at his residence.
