Finance and Accounts Head, Ranchi

Position Summary:
The Finance and Accounts Head provides leadership and oversight for financial governance, compliance, internal controls, financial planning, and stewardship of resources across Yogoda Satsanga Society of India ashrams and kendras.
This role requires a high degree of ownership, integrity, analytical thinking, and collaboration, along with the ability to lead teams, establish robust systems, and drive process improvements to meet the evolving statutory and organizational requirements.
Reporting Structure:
The incumbent will report to senior monastics in the Office of the Treasurer and lead a team of 18-20 finance and accounting professionals directly or indirectly.
Main Functions of the Role:
- Financial Operations Oversight:
- Oversee accounting operations at the YSS Ranchi Ashram and provide guidance and support to other ashrams and kendras
- Establish and review Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for finance and accounting operations
- Drive operational efficiency through process improvements and system enhancements
- Audit and Internal Controls:
- Establish, strengthen, and monitor internal control systems across all YSS ashrams and large kendras
- Provide leadership to the Internal Audit team, and streamlining the Internal Audit process

Position Summary:
The Assistant Project Manager is responsible for delivering “loving service and right solutions, in a timely manner,” by harmoniously managing the Helpdesk volunteers, processes, and systems. He/she will have a working understanding of all Helpdesk processes and systems (training will be provided), for problem-solving and identifying opportunities to improve service and efficiency.
The ideal candidate will take the time to understand the type of support being offered, the volunteers themselves, the systems used, the challenges/priorities, and the key stakeholders. He/she will work transparently and collaboratively with other volunteers to continuously improve the quality of service offered to devotees.
Main Functions of the Role:
- Collaborate with the Dept. In-charge to set the service and recruitment standards, for both on-site and remote volunteers
- Oversee the selection and recruitment of volunteers with the desired qualities
- Structure and coordinate an engaging, experiential training process to ensure volunteers are equipped to offer “Loving service and right solutions, in a timely manner”
- Monitor service quality across phone and email platforms to identify specific areas for improvement
- Analyze phone and email transaction data to ensure timely and responsive service

- Education and Experience:
- A Master’s degree
- Proven experience managing remote teams, preferably within YSS (not an individual contributor role)
- Background in organizations known for world-class service delivery, in roles such as customer service, technical support, call centre operations (sales experience considered), etc.
- Demonstrated accountability for quality of service, including setting standards, training, on-the-job coaching, and performance monitoring
- Experience in training and upskilling others in both soft skills and technical areas
- Proven ability to develop SOPs and process documentation

Data Analyst

Position Summary:
The YSS Helpdesk team is looking for a Data Analyst to support the team in making data-driven decisions. The ideal candidate will take the time to understand the problems being addressed, and identify relevant data metrics and analyzes that can yield valuable insights. Key responsibilities include studying data structures and classifying data, cleaning and manipulating data for analysis, analyzing data to derive meaningful metrics, and creating graphs, as needed. The Data Analyst will also develop simple reports and, if possible, summary dashboards. This volunteer will collaborate and communicate effectively with team members, work in alignment with the team’s direction, and proactively propose solutions to key questions.
