A satsanga on the topic “Faith and Surrender — Pathway to [the Ocean of] Infinite Love” by Swami Adyananda Giri, a sannyasi of Yogoda Satsanga Society of India, was held in Noida ashram on Sunday, March 23, from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon (IST).
In this inspirational talk, Swami Adyananda drew upon the wisdom from Paramahansa Yogananda’s teachings on how we can face situations with encouragement and determination, and see the various challenges that arise in our daily lives as opportunities for our personal spiritual growth. The talk was centred on the theme of faith as the basis of surrender. The speaker discussed the surrender of desires, and of likes and dislikes, pointing to Yoganandaji’s guidance on how to use will and discrimination to practise the quality of surrender in meditation, in our daily lives, in our work, and how to learn to offer the fruits of our actions, our thoughts and ideas, our ego, and our whole being to God and Guru. He also explained how loving and devotional surrender to the Guru’s guidance during tests and trials would lead us to the abundance of love on our spiritual path.
