At YSS, we honour July 25 as Mahavatar Babaji Smriti Divas, marking the auspicious occasion when Babaji visited Paramahansa Yogananda at his parental home in Kolkata to bless him, before Yoganandaji’s travel to America to spread the ancient science of Kriya Yoga worldwide.

Lahiri Mahasaya assures us, “Whenever anyone utters with reverence the name of Babaji, that devotee attracts an instant spiritual blessing.”

A special online meditation to honour Mahavatar Babaji was held on Sunday, July 25. Two meditation sessions were held in English and Hindi led by YSS sannyasis. These included periods of reading, devotional chanting, and meditation.
