“Spiritual Photosynthesis — Converting God’s Grace Into Soul-Nourishment” by Swami Chidananda Giri (Video)

April 8, 2025

During his recent visit to India, Swami Chidanandaji led meditations and gave satsangas at several one-day spiritual programmes conducted in various cities by Yogoda Satsanga Society of India.

In this excerpt from his satsanga in Ahmedabad, “Meditation: The Path to Divine Bliss and Abundance,” the YSS/SRF President illustrates how by practising Paramahansaji’s teachings we can apply a process analogous to photosynthesis — “spiritual photosynthesis,” which he defines as the ability “to convert the grace and power of God into right action to nourish the soul and the entire world in which we live.”

In the video, Swami Chidanandaji explains that the ability to practise the “spiritual photosynthesis” he is describing comes through practice of the techniques and principles given in the Yogoda Satsanga Lessons, Paramahansaji’s home-study course on the Kriya Yoga science of meditation and art of balanced living.

In a second talk a few days later, at the YSS Noida Ashram, Swami Chidanandaji spoke further on the subject of “spiritual photosynthesis.” You can view the video of that second talk, “Awakening Our Divine Potential Through Meditation,” on our Teachings Library.
