Last month we shared with you the exciting news of the planned Fall 2014 theatrical release of CounterPoint Films’ documentary on the life and work of our Guru – AWAKE: The Life of Yogananda. We are now happy to let you know that the world film festival premiere of the movie will take place at the Seattle International Film Festival (SIFF) later this month.
One of the most widely attended film festivals in the U.S., SIFF will screen the film on Sunday, May 18 at 6:30 p.m. and again on Monday, May 19 at 7 p.m.
As previously reported, the Illuminate Film Festival in Sedona, Arizona – a platform for conscious cinema – has selected AWAKE as one of its documentary features. The film will be screened on Friday, May 30. A second screening, on Sunday, June 1, may also be scheduled. The screening will be followed by a Question & Answer period with the filmmakers.
