A New Programme Blossoms
With great joy we would like to share that in a first-of-its-kind initiative, Yogoda Satsanga Society of India (YSS) is offering a Sadhana Sangam exclusively for young sadhaks (ages 23-35) — a spiritually immersive experience that will be held at the serene YSS Ranchi Ashram from September 10 to 14, 2025.
This special Sangam is a manifestation of the growing interest among youth in Paramahansa Yogananda’s universal teachings for inner clarity and strength.
The Sangam offers a sacred space where hundreds of young devotees from across India can come together to dive deeper into Paramahansa Yogananda’s teachings, form soul friendships, and discover a balanced spiritual lifestyle suited to the fast-paced modern world.
A Nourishing Spiritual Routine for a Yogic Way of Life
Rooted in Yoganandaji’s ideal of balanced living, the daily routine during sangam will be simple yet transformational: meditations and kirtans, engaging classes and workshops, joyful seva, inspirational satsangas, YSS Lessons study, introspection, and a time for rest, recreation, and fellowship.
This holistic yogic lifestyle has been thoughtfully planned and designed for young seekers — something they can carry home and make their own.
Highlights of the Sangam
While the programme includes review and guided practice of the YSS techniques of meditation, new elements have been introduced, especially for young seekers. The programme includes:
- Group meditations and kirtans
- Review and guided practice of the sacred YSS meditation techniques
- Group study of Lessons and introspection
- Inspirational satsangas on Guruji’s teachings, and their application in daily life
- Workshops and discussion groups on
- Making life’s important decisions with spiritual wisdom
- Finding inner balance in a fast-paced world
- Nurturing relationships with kindness and consideration
- Applying the law of success
- Outing to a nature spot near Ranchi
- Recreational activities like hatha yoga sessions, sports, etc.
- Fellowship with other young sadhaks
The classes and talks will be in English.
Although there is no Kriya Yoga diksha ceremony, we will be having a review class on the technique of Kriya Yoga.
The detailed schedule will be available closer to the date of the event. Please view this section a couple of weeks before the event begins.
Registration for the Sangam is now open to YSS devotees between the ages of 23 and 35. If you are slightly outside this age range but feel sincerely drawn to participate, we invite you to reach out to the YSS Helpdesk for guidance.
The registration fee is ₹2500/- per person. This fee is inclusive of meal charges. If you are finding it difficult to pay the Registration Fee, please contact us.
Additional details:
- Registration is on a first-come, first-served basis.
- Only YSS/SRF devotees may attend the Sangam.
- Though SRF devotees are welcome to participate in this event, they will have to arrange their accommodation in nearby hotels. A list of such hotels is available here.
- As the programme has a hectic schedule, devotees with fragile health or special needs are advised not to apply.

- Your full name
- Age
- Address
- Email and Telephone number
- YSS Lessons Registration number (or SRF Membership Number)
- Dates of your proposed arrival and departure.
You may remit the amount against the payment link that will be sent to your mobile or email address.
Registration for SRF devotees:
- We request interested SRF devotees to contact YSS Helpdesk by email and provide all their details as mentioned above.
- While SRF devotees are most welcome to participate in the function, and may have meals at the venue, they are requested to make their own accommodation arrangements in any of the nearby hotels. A list of such hotels is available here.
Please note:
- If your registration is confirmed but you are not able to attend, the Registration fee will neither be refunded nor transferred to another person.
- On successful registration, you will receive a confirmation through either email or WhatsApp or SMS. If you don’t receive such a notification, please contact YSS Ranchi Helpdesk by phone (0651 6655 555) or email (helpdesk@yssi.org).
The programme will begin on the morning of Wednesday and conclude around noon on Sunday. Participants are requested to arrive by Tuesday. However, all are welcome to arrive up to two days earlier and stay for one additional day after the programme concludes.
Shared accommodation will be provided separately for ladies and gents. Family members are requested to plan and pack accordingly.
All participants are encouraged to stay within the ashram premises. However, devotees with special accommodation or dietary needs may kindly make their own arrangements. A list of nearby hotels is available here.
As in the past, devotee-volunteers will be needed to serve in various areas such as registration, accommodation, audio-visuals, dining, sanitation, ushering, and other departments. In a few of these areas, volunteers may be required to arrive a day or two prior to the start of the programme.

We are requesting contributions to cover various expenses incurred in organizing these functions. The Registration Fee is subsidized, so that even devotees with limited means can participate. We are grateful to those who are able to make larger contributions, allowing us to offer this subsidy and thereby extend Gurudeva’s hospitality to all sincere seekers.
