"Absorb thy mind in Me; become My devotee; resign all things to Me; bow down
to Me. Thou art dear to Me, so in truth do I promise thee: Thou shalt attain Me!
Forsaking all other dharmas (duties), remember Me alone!"

— The Bhagavad Gita, Chapter xviii

This loving request of Bhagavan Krishna to Arjuna represents the desire of God for each of us, His children. Having given us the freedom of choice, He cannot have the full love and devotion of our hearts until we willingly and unreservedly choose to give our hearts to Him.

All who would know true love, joy, and fulfilment must learn this divine secret, for all comes from Him, and without Him there is  no happiness. This holds true for the householder as well as for the sannyasi.

Any young men who have taken up the study and practice of the Yogoda Satsanga teachings of Sri Sri Paramahansa Yogananda, and have come to feel that their whole life is meant only for following and serving our Gurudeva and his work, may wish to deeply consider this call of God to give Him their hearts, and ask in deep meditation what will most fully enable them to do so. Those who do not feel drawn in this life to enter the grihastha ashram, who are free from all worldly and family commitments or obligations, who are in sound health, and who hold the supreme desire to know God, may wish to consider the life of sannyas in the Yogoda Satsanga Sannyas Order.
