When the prayers of thousands are united, the powerful vibrations of peace and divine healing thus generated are of inestimable value in helping manifest the desired results.
An update: As the situation has stabilized in our country, this special initiative was concluded — with heartfelt gratitude to all who participated in this selfless service of love and healing. After the session on Friday, May 23, it was concluded.
We encourage you to continue, during your daily meditations and at other times, to offer prayers and practise the healing technique as taught by our beloved Gurudeva, Paramahansa Yogananda — enfolding your loved ones, and the world, in divine light and healing.
In the light of the growing tension and uncertainty in various parts of our country, a daily online prayer session was initiated to help send vibrations of hope, solace, and reassurance to our devotees and all those affected. As experienced during the period of the Covid-19 pandemic, our group meditations and prayers can play a vital, though unseen, role.
Each prayer session was of approximately 20 minutes in duration. It began with an opening prayer, followed by a short period of inspirational reading, or chanting, or affirmation practice. This was followed by a brief silent meditation, during which we mentally prayed for those who have sought help through the YSS/SRF Worldwide Prayer Council. Devotees could also offer personal prayers — for their loved ones or for strength in facing their own challenges. The session concluded with the practice of the healing technique as taught by Paramahansa Yogananda and a closing prayer.
