I would like to share with you two important changes to the Yogoda Satsanga Society of India (YSS) Board of Directors.
Swami Smaranananda, who has served as a member of the YSS Board of Directors since 2002, and in the position of General Secretary since 2007, will now fill the long-vacant position of Vice President. I would like to express special appreciation to Swami Smarananandaji for his devoted and dedicated service to Gurudeva’s beloved YSS in his capacity as General Secretary. YSS has seen significant growth and accomplished widespread dissemination of Gurudeva’s sacred Kriya Yoga teachings under his guidance and leadership. Supported by the Board of Directors, the monastics, and the dedicated lay disciples, YSS has achieved many important goals during his tenure as General Secretary.
Swami Ishwarananda, who has served as a member of the YSS Board of Directors since 2011, will replace Swami Smaranananda as General Secretary of Yogoda Satsanga Society of India. Swami Ishwaranandaji has ably served Gurudeva’s work in many capacities over the years. He received valuable training while at the Self-Realization Fellowship/Yogoda Satsanga Society of India International Headquarters in Los Angeles for five years, serving under our former beloved president Sri Sri Daya Mata and assisting her with various administrative responsibilities.
We ask for God and Gurus’ blessings upon Swami Smaranananda and Swami Ishwarananda in carrying out their new responsibilities, and we look forward to the continued growth and spread of Gurudeva’s work of disseminating the soul-liberating teachings of Kriya Yoga to truth-seeking souls.
In Gurudeva’s love and service.
Swami Chidananda Giri
President, Yogoda Satsanga Society of India/Self-Realization Fellowship
