With great joy, we invite you to join YSS/SRF president and spiritual head Sri Sri Swami Chidananda Giri for this special event celebrating the 75th anniversary of Paramahansa Yogananda’s dedicating the SRF Lake Shrine in Pacific Palisades, California, in 1950.
The SRF Lake Shrine was established by Paramahansa Yogananda as a universal spiritual sanctuary, where people from all over the world can come and experience true peace in heart, mind, and soul. At the dedication of the Lake Shrine on August 20, 1950, he said, “There must be world brotherhood if we are to be able to practice the true art of living. This shrine has been created for all religions, that all may feel the unity of a common faith.”
After the 2025 Pacific Palisades fire, remediation work on the Lake Shrine property prevented this event from being held in 2025. We are happy to mark this significant anniversary now with a special celebration with the YSS/SRF President at this sacred site.
This event will be live-streamed from the SRF Lake Shrine Temple in Los Angeles on Saturday, August 22, from 10:30 p.m. (IST), and will remain available for viewing later.
