The Hon’ble Governor of Jharkhand, Sri Santosh Kumar Gangwar, visited Yogoda Satsanga Sakha Ashram, Ranchi, on February 5. He paid homage at the room once used by Paramahansa Yoganandaji and meditated in the Smriti Mandir, experiencing deep inner peace.
Swami Ishwarananda Giri, senior sannyasi of Yogoda Satsanga Society of India (YSS), briefed the Governor on the spiritual and humanitarian activities of YSS, the sacred guru–disciple tradition, and the life-transforming teachings of Paramahansa Yogananda. The Governor appreciated YSS’s contribution to the spiritual upliftment of society.
The Hon’ble Governor was presented with Autobiography of a Yogi, God Talks With Arjuna: The Bhagavad Gita, Journey to Self-realization, and a calendar published by YSS.
The Governor shared that he had long wished to visit the ashram. He also invited Swami Ishwarananda to visit the Raj Bhavan and expressed his desire to visit the ashram again and spend more time in its serene environment.
