“I know it is God who speaks through my voice. The voice of Self-Realization [Yogoda Satsanga] is the voice of God. Follow it. Great souls, those who are hungry for God, are following this path and drinking the nectar of His presence. Practise these teachings, and you also shall see how beautiful life becomes.”
— Sri Sri Paramahansa Yogananda

Ashram and Centre Developments
Creating a Spiritual Sanctuary in South India
In September 2024, Swami Chidanandaji, our revered president, formally announced that the YSS Chennai Retreat would be developed into a full-fledged YSS ashram. We pray this ashram will draw many truth-seekers, today and in the future to God-communion, fellowship, and divine inspiration.
To make this sacred vision a reality, a comprehensive Master Plan has been developed with the expertise of accomplished architects and engineers. Our goal is to create a serene, verdant, beautifully landscaped campus where devotees can immerse themselves in deep meditation, study, and contemplation on Gurudeva’s teachings — all while remaining in the lap of Mother Nature.
During his visit this year in February, Swami Chidanandaji personally toured the Chennai ashram, reviewed the Master Plan, and blessed this project.
The total financial requirement for the foundational works and Phase I of the project is ₹65 crore. We warmly welcome your support in bringing this divine vision to fruition.
on this special occasion.
New Dhyana Mandir at Tuni:
We are also delighted to share that the devotees of Yogoda Satsanga Dhyana Kendra — Tuni (located in Kakinada district of Andhra Pradesh), with tireless dedication and heartfelt enthusiasm, have completed the construction of a beautiful new Dhyana Mandir, which was inaugurated on July 25 this year. The blessed occasion was attended by over 200 devotees.
Youth Programmes and Education
Young Sadhak Sangam:
YSS hosted its first-ever Sadhana Sangam for young sadhaks — devotees in the age group of 23 to 35 years — at the Ranchi ashram from September 10 to 14, 2025, in which more than 200 sadhaks participated. This special gathering reflected the deepening interest among youth in Paramahansa Yogananda’s universal teachings for cultivating clarity, strength, and purpose in life.
The thoughtfully designed programme included guided meditations, group study of the YSS Lessons, satsangas, workshops, opportunities for seva, recreation, and nightly introspection — each element inspiring a balanced way of living rooted in Guruji’s teachings. The Sangam offered young devotees a blessed opportunity to immerse themselves in Guruji’s guidance, build lasting spiritual friendships, and return home with practical tools to strengthen their inner lives.

Summer Camps for Children at Ranchi, Noida, Dwarahat, and Chennai:
This year, annual summer camps for boys and girls were joyfully conducted at our ashrams in Ranchi, Noida, Dwarahat, and Chennai, inspired by Paramahansa Yogananda’s ideal of simple and wholesome living. Guided by experienced devotee-teachers, the children took part in a series of “how-to-live” classes to learn about concentration, character development, will power, and introspection. Their daily schedule included group meditations, Energization Exercises, yogasanas, and creative activities such as drawing and crafts.
YSS Educational Institutions at Jagannathpur, Ranchi:
Students of YSS educational institutions in Ranchi achieved outstanding state-level academic results. These achievements stand as a testimony, not only to the hard work of our students and teachers, but also to the uplifting influence of Guruji’s How-to-Live principles, which inspire young minds to strive for excellence while remaining rooted in spiritual values.
Online and Digital Outreach
YSS Website Now Available in Bengali and Kannada:
We are pleased to share that the YSS website is now available in Bengali and Kannada, in addition to English, Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu — making Guruji’s teachings and a wealth of spiritual resources on the website accessible to many more devotees in their mother tongue.
Expanded Offerings on the Online Dhyana Kendra:
To better serve devotees across India, the Online Dhyana Kendra has introduced devotee-led meditations in Malayalam, along with the existing meditations in English, Hindi, Bengali, Kannada, Tamil, and Telugu. Further, a new Lesson Study group on the Supplement Lessons is now being offered every Monday evening, alongside the ongoing Basic Lessons study group on Fridays.
These initiatives are helping to bring Gurudeva’s teachings into the homes of many devotees who may not live near a YSS meditation centre — bringing them the blessings of group meditation and spiritual study.
New Publications and Translations

- Sixteen YSS publications (print format) were released in various Indian languages.
- Seven new eBooks were released, including translations of Autobiography of a Yogi into Bengali, Nepali, and Odia languages.
- YSS also launched two new Autobiography of a Yogi audiobooks in Nepali and Malayalam.
Charitable and Humanitarian Activities
Uttarakhand Relief Work:
In response to the cloudbursts, floods, and landslides in Uttarakhand, Yogoda Satsanga Society of India extended monetary assistance to the state government. In September, YSS sannyasis, Swami Ishwarananda and Swami Dhairyananda, met Uttarakhand Chief Minister, Shri Pushkar Singh Dhami, in Dehradun and presented a cheque of ₹25 lakh towards the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund to support ongoing relief operations.

Medical Initiatives:
A charitable dispensary, located just 1.5 km from the YSS Chennai ashram, was inaugurated in June this year. Open five days a week, it offers free consultation and medicines, and has already provided medical care to over a thousand patients.
YSS Dwarahat Ashram hosted three medical camps, bringing much-needed healthcare to the underprivileged communities. More than 2,000 people benefitted from these camps.
Yearly Scholarships:
YSS continues to serve deserving and meritorious students from less fortunate backgrounds by providing scholarships. Last year, scholarships amounting to ₹75 lakh were disbursed.
